The Avenue are looking to expand its care and support team. We have 2x16hour per week care assistant vacancies.

About The Avenue:
The Avenue is a small 3 bedded care home, for adults with learning disabilities.
The Avenue is a registered, residential care home.

The role:
The Avenue are looking to expand its care team, to support our residents with maintaining their home, accessing the community, and day-to-day tasks.

The role of care assistant is to provide care and support to individuals with a learning disability, based on their wishes, wants, and needs.

You will support people with all aspects of their daily living, including social and physical activities, general household and maintenance duties, personal care, mobility, meal times, medication etc.

You will be contracted to 16hours per week, working flexible, including weekends, and public holidays. Shifts range from early morning, to late evening, including occasional night cover / sleep-ins. This role is to cover 24hour, 365days per year. All employees will be passionate about caring for people and agree to undertake regular training as part of their personal development.

The Avenue are happy to aid applicants who may have little/no experience, who are looking for a long-term job, and are willing to learn and develop their qualifications in the sector. The home has a family feel to it…and we look to make the most of our opportunities to provide our residents with a valued and fulfilling life I.e. going to shows…holidays etc. – things people do on a day to day basis. We are looking for someone who wants to find a job for the long term rather than a stop gap.

Pay: National minimum wage.
Additional: all roles at the home are subject to an enhanced DBS check. DBS will be covered by the home, with agreement with successful applicant.
