Our client is currently looking for a Compliance Manager to join our busy team in Northeast England.
Working within a WEEE Producer Compliance Scheme Management role you are responsible for all compliance and regulation related tasks supported by a compliance administrator.
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 depending on level of qualification
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week Monday – Friday
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Compliance Manager Duties:
Ensure the scheme and its members remain compliant with all Government and Environment Agency regulations
Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the UK WEEE regulations and the schemes responsibilities
Management of all schemes annual and quarterly EEE & WEEE returns and declaration of compliance to the Environment Agency (EA)
Management and submission of member registrations
Regulation 50 AATF contracting
Management of PBS (Producer Balancing Scheme) ICER (Industry council for electronic equipment recycling) and LADCF (Local Authority Designated Collection Facility) reports
Management of evidence and B2C trackers
Management of approved authorised treatment facility (AATF) cashflow report
Management and quality assurance of member returns
Management and quality assurance prior to approval of Evidence
Completion of staff training
Resolve EEE and WEEE queries internally
Management of the production of XMLs in preparation for scheme return submissions
Manage inboxes
Answer incoming telephone calls
Compliance Manager Requirements:
Minimum 5 years administration experience
Evidence of continuous professional development
Extensive knowledge of WEEE and EEE Waste
UK Government compliance regulations
Ability to develop strong relationships across existing customer base face to face
Highly developed organisational skills to navigate various sections of compliance
Proven track record of customer retention through customer service
A proven ability to coach others
Ability to take a broad view in the resolution of complex issues, assess Impacts and provide recommendations
