This is an excellent opportunity to join the Department for International Trade (DIT) and join a global network of highly dedicated staff bringing together policy, promotion, and financial expertise. You will join the Project Delivery and Change Directorate (PD&C) within DIT Corporate Services.
The Places for Growth Culture and Engagement Lead is a key and exciting role within DIT’s Places for Growth programme (PfG). PfG is a key contribution to theernment’s high-profile Levelling Up agenda, bringing departments closer to themunities and businesses we serve. DIT is developing a major second site in Darlington alongside trade and investment offices in Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast.
This recruitment is continuing as usual, but candidates should be aware that following aernment announcement on the changes to some civil service departments, roles will be located in the new Department for Business and Trade.
Your new role
The postholder will lead business change activities which underpin the successful delivery of DIT’s PfG programme. This will include working across our PfG locations and DIT’s existing workforce (including London, UK Regions and Overseas staff) to design and implement sustainable and effective working cultures which align with wider DIT approaches. Responsibilities for this role will include providing visible and effective representation for the PfG programme, including at senior levels; designing and leading staff engagement and consultation activities; and building strong stakeholder networks within DIT and across Otherernment Departments.
You will lead business change management for the PfG programme, working across our PfG locations and DIT’s existing workforce. You will also develop a clear vision and standards for the programme and champion the use of best-practice business change management standards, tools and processes. In addition, you will build strong networks both internally and externally, as well as identify, classify, and update the programme’s stakeholder engagement plan, lead stakeholder engagement to ensure it meets requirements, and act as a point of contact for senior stakeholders. You will maintain a deep andprehensive understanding of the programme, its progress and key risks and issues.
The role reports to the Head of DIT Places for Growth, manages a small team of around four staff based across the UK, and collaborates closely with wider PfG-focused roles across the organisation.

Apetitive salary package between £52,000 to £58, 653 per annum, depending on experience plus great benefits including working from home 2/3 days.
