This is a great opportunity to join a largeernment sector organisation as the Darlington Campus Lead on a 6-month, full-time basis.
You’ll be part of the Project Delivery and Change Directorate which sits with in the Corporate Service which is responsible for developing the capability of our project delivery and change specialists.
This position sits with in the Places for Growth team whilst working closely alongside the Darlington Heads of Location at Director and Director – General level.
Your new role
Key accountabilities include (but is not limited to)
Mapping and refining local leadership structures for the organisation’s Darlington presence. This will include consulting with staff and senior stakeholders to ensure the proposed structures are effective, sustainable and aligned with the wider structures.
Working across staff and corporate services to enhance our on-site culture and support colleagues to have thriving, successful careers. This will include leveraging cross-organisation initiatives, e.g. around career pathways and Smarter Working.
Collaborating with DEC colleagues to shape and drive a shared DEC vision. This will include being an active member of cross-Campus working groups and identifying opportunities for the co-creation of programmes and policy.
Providing ad hoc briefing, support and coordination for VIP, business and other visits to raise the profile of Darlington as this organisation’s second headquarters.
Translating learning from Darlington to inform similar work in our Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast offices.
What you’ll need to succeed
Essential Criteria
Experience of change programme delivery.
Ability to systematically identify, analyse andmunicate with stakeholders, using appropriate channels, to ensure all those impacted by change are engaged.
Ability to provide high-quality reporting products.
Ability to travel to the multiple sites across the UK (likely to be an occasional requirement for this role).
Desirable Criteria
Prior exposure to the Places for Growth programme or wider regional growth initiatives.
Experience of working in organisational or centralernment change programmes, in particular those concerning growth outside London and the Southeast.
Experience of cultural and behaviour change.
Ability to undertake individual or team coaching.
Change qualifications such as APM Change Management or Prosci.
Familiarity with project management tools and frameworks.
