About Our Client

Our client is a market leading distributor based in Darlington, working with national, online and independent retailers both UK and Overseas.

Job Description
Working closely with the Sales and Brand teams (and other key stakeholders) across the UK and European businesses to ensure that accurate, SKU-level demand forecasts are created and maintained for a portfolio of premium brands.
Raising and reviewing purchase orders correctly in line with both deadlines and demand requirement.
Meeting all service and inventory metrics for the assigned brand portfolio.
Communicating changes clearly and effectively to the rest of the group businesses.
Reviewing variances in forecasts vs actuals, forecast trend analysis, supplier lead times and customer ordering patterns and adjusting forecasts and methodologies accordingly.
The identification and countermeasure of potential service issues before they occur.
Playing a key role in our group S&OP program, ensuring that customer demand is met across multiple distribution centres whilst minimising network excess.
The Successful Applicant
Previous experience within a comparable role.
Strong analytical skills.
Deep and detailed knowledge of demand planning and forecasting processes.
Excellent proficiency in the use of office products (predominantly Excel).
The ability to work to strict deadlines and with a high attention to detail.
The ability to effectively prioritise own workload.
