Job Description

Are you a Design Technology Teacher  who is qualified to teach at KS3 and KS4?

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic  Design Technology Teacher  in one of  our Middlesbrough  based schools,  OFSTED rated ‘Good’ .

Full-time Design Technology   teacher

Starting 9th January 2023

Pay in line with teacher pay scale 

Planning, marking and delivering a full maths timetable across KS3 – KS4 in line with the current curriculum

Located in  Middlesbrough

The school is looking for a candidate that is able to successfully support its four key values of creating students with positive relationships, resilience, respect, responsibility.

Details of the role:

To implement and deliver an appropriate, broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated Design Technology curriculum for students

Must be able to support a differentiated curriculum as appropriate

To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students within the subject

To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential

The successful candidate will:

Hold a UK recognised QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree

Have successful teaching experience at secondary level (can be teaching practice)

Understand the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning

Understand the importance of high expectations and equality of access for all students

Have knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4 level for Desing Technology, and of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students’ work

Be able to work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff and students

Have a good level of ICT skills, ideally including innovative use of interactive white boards

Be able to create a motivating and safe learning environment for all students and raise their aspirations through a range of strategies

Be able to communicate positively, both written and verbally
