*More about the role*

You will develop an inspiring vision and culture in the school to support and protect all our students in all areas of child protection. You will be helping our students to get the most out of education and overcome any barriers to their learning. In partnership with the Headteacher, you will lead in all matters of safeguarding across the school. You will engage with vulnerable students, families and external agencies to improve outcomes for students. You will advise and support other staff on child welfare and child protection matters and will lead in liaising with external agencies and ensuring appropriate referrals and records are made.

*What do you need?*

We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing safeguarding in school or other relevant organisation including building relationships with student and their families’ or carers – particularly the most vulnerable.

It is essential that you have good working knowledge of legislation and guidance on safeguarding and working with young people, including knowledge of the responsibilities of schools and other agencies.
