Divisional Sales Manager (FMCG/RETAIL)

Our client, Cepac Group, is the largest independent packaging company in the UK supporting an enviable portfolio of leading brands as FMCG and Retail clients. The business is a successful multi-site manufacturing operation, intensely customer focused, producing sustainable packaging products. Innovative, agile with a reputation in the industry for doing things faster, better and smarter than the competition. To supplement an executive search process, we are inviting expressions of interest from experienced Sales leaders seeking a positive change or the next career step. Candidates will have the vision, strategic insight and hands-on ability to build-on and grow an already successful business, with further investment planned and significant growth anticipated.


The role is a key member of the leadership team. Reporting to the Group Sales and Marketing Director, responsible for business development and strengthening relationships with an established FMCG/Retail customer base. This is not a ‘business as usual role’, it requires agility, tenacity and the ability to understand the Customer’s brand, priorities and technical requirements. 


We are seeking applications from experienced Sales Managers with a background in FMCG, manufacturing or packaging. Candidates with professional stature, influence and credibility who are highly customer oriented; able to demonstrate the right blend of: strategic thinking and effective ‘doing’ including operational empathy, commercial and business acumen. This role will suit talented sales execs who enjoy being fully engaged in the business and relish being active in the market.


Leading and building a team, your leadership style will be as important as your track record. Target candidates will be accomplished sales professionals with a proven track record in sales performance, a background in manufacturing and experienced in a multi-site operation; a good colleague, who can inspire and influence colleagues and conveys credibility to stakeholders.
