Fabric Engineer (M&E) North East – Bellrock – Darlington

We are currently recruiting for Fabric Engineer to join our M&E North team. Mobile Service Engineer is responsible for carrying out planned and preventive maintenance as well as small install works. To work alone or as part of a team, to report to the Lead Engineers and Field Managers. To be competent at working on a digital CAFAM system on a tablet to supply detailed reports on works carried out and to be able to compile quotes including materials, labour and access equipment.

What you’re responsible for

Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements.

Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts.

Undertake general building fabric tasks.

Fix doors in the organization and change the locks if they are beyond repair.

Carry out carpentry works by fixing furniture.

Carry out plumbing repairs.

Carry out flooring works.

Troubleshoot general problems.

Repair and replace general hardware.

Remove stains and paint building when necessary.  

Communicate with the wider team, Helpdesk and Planning team.

Attend Training sessions when supplied.

Required to join M&E North call out rota.

To be a good team player who takes pride in their work and will do their best to always get a positive outcome from any works they carry out. Must be able to communicate well both verbally and digitally as detailed reports are required for all jobs. To be polite and considerate as they will spend most of their day interacting with customers and members of the public. Must be calm under pressure and always will to help.

It is full time role Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
