As well as being an established local business for 30 years, we have a large team of fully trained and experienced staff ready to supply you with the professional commercial or domestic drainage services you need.

We offer a 24 hour, 7 days a week emergency service to homes and businesses in Yorkshire and the North of England.

This role is based in Darlington, DL1 2RR. The position requires presence/residency in the local area (North East of England)

Purpose of the Role:

To support the provision of an effective, efficient, and proactive people service, through coordinating a range of HR and training activities; ensuring that the Company’s people information is accurately maintained, and that the workforce are suitably trained to perform to the best of their ability. Working with the Divisions Head of HR developing people systems to drive improvements and provide a first-class service to all colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

·Support the Head of HR to ensure all HR processes are completed in a timely manner.

Recruitment, selection, and onboarding – including delivering Company induction.

Preparation and issue contracts of employment, startup paperwork and process all starters documentation through to payroll.

Administration of probationary reviews.

Administration of absence management processes.

Process leavers from the business.

Undertake general administrative duties relating to employee information, company files and records, ensuring personnel records are accurate and up to date.

Respond to routine HR and training queries.

Attend formal disciplinary, grievance, consultations, and record accurate minutes of meetings in Head of HR’s absence.

Ensure that the workforce is suitably trained and maintain currency of training.

Broker, coordinate and organise a wide range of fit for purpose training courses.

·Up to date, accurate data on all HR & training systems.

Experience and Qualifications

·A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in an HR administrative role is essential.

·Associate CIPD or working towards is desirable.

·Fully conversant with MS Office.

·Experience of working with HR systems.

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·Polite and approachable at all times.

·Excellent telephone and negotiation skills.

·Must be detail conscious with a high regard for accuracy and well organised.

·Excellent administration skills are required.
