A local NHS Trust located in Darlington is seeking the services of a well-organised, highly motivated Human Resources Advisor.
The Role
-
To effectively support the Workforce & OD Directorate and Human Resources Management Team to represent Directorate services offered and delivered to Care Groups and Corporate Services.
-
Acting as a two-way, face to face, conduit between Workforce & OD services and Care Groups and Corporate Services and assisting HR Managers to assure satisfactory outcomes for Care Group actions.

Comprehensive knowledge of employment law

Computer literate

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to influence

Ability to interpret HR policies/procedures and employment law to give sound advice to managers and staff

Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and prioritise work

Able to deal with complex and sensitive issues and with difficult staff situations

Ability to deal with challenging behaviour and impart unwelcome news to staff and managers.

Ability to empathise with staff in dealing with harassment or discrimination issues.

Flexible/positive attitude to work

Demonstrable experience in employee relations area of HR, i.e. disciplinary investigations, resolution issues, sickness meetings, organisational change issues, HR project work

Able to travel across Trust sites to meet the requirements of the post

Experience of NHS HR – desirable

Experience of ESR – desirable
-
Experience of Agenda for Change Job Evaluation Process – desirable
Education Level and Qualifications
-
Educated to degree level in a relevant field/CIPD Level 5 Diploma in HR Management or equivalent experience/HR knowledge acquired through relevant training and experience to degree equivalent level

CPD in a HR-related area
