Milk education are on the search for enthusiastic and pro-active teaching Assistants to support KS1 classes for our school clients across Darlington. The roles are available for after May half-term. If you have any prior experience working with children or directly as a Teaching assistant please apply!
Working hours: Mon – Fri 08:15 am – 4:00 pm
Start date: May 2023
Weekly rate: £350 – £450 per week
Teaching Assistant job responsibilities:
- You will be working under the direction of the class teacher, following the guidance, and offering general support to the children
- Supporting the development of the children, in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
- Good working knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Framework
- Knowledge and experience of supporting and conducting phonics interventions. The Milk Difference
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- A qualification in Early Years or Childcare (CACHE Level 2 or 3, NNEB, BA Hons Early Childhood Studies etc)
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
- Have a Level 2 Diploma in Education/equivalent or above/degree in education
- Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
- Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
- Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
