Your New RoleNigel Wright are delighted to be working with a rapidly expanding activities and hospitality business based in Darlington. They are looking for a Management Accountant to join their ever growing finance team. With 12 sites currently open across the UK and 6 in the pipeline over the next 6 months, and exploring Europe, you will be a key part of this expansion and be heavily involved with key stakeholders across the business. As the Management Accountant you will report directly into the Group Financial Controller and be responsible delivering financial information to management and operations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:• Work in partnership with key stakeholders in the business, gain understanding, provide insight and support on finance matters. • Provide the business with information to assist in decision making, becoming a trusted source of business advice. • Create a strong partnership between finance, management and operations which help to drive financial business results. • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts, P&L and balance sheets to enable clear information to be shared across the business.• Provide Commercial Analysis to the Leadership team to monitor and influence Business Performance• Understand Cost Drivers within the business, to aid strategic decisions and identify cost saving initiatives• Produce regular Statutory returns for VAT/Intrastat to external parties.• Support Audit investigations and Audit work.• Complete Branch Accounts for international Branches.• Manage fixed assets, stock and intercompany transactions and reconciliations.• Aid in Budgets/Forecasting, working with Budget Holders to deliver achievable budgets.You Will Be/HaveAs the Management Accountant, you will be/have:• Qualified By Experience or part qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA.• Strong Management Accounts experience • Strong IT skills, being proficient in Excel, Teams, and ability to learn new applications where required.• Ability to convey financial information to non-financial team members in an understandable and engaging way.• Strong communications skills and have the capability to challenge the status quo.• Be able to critically think and have the ability to analyse and challenge information.BenefitsAs the Management Accountant, you will be entitled to a range of benefits including:• Competitive Salary – £40,000 to £45,000 circa – dependant on experience/qualifications• Statutory Holidays• Company Pension• Employee Discounts
