Here at Vertu Vehicle Solutions in Darlington, due to ongoing expansion we are now looking to expand our team with both Mechanical and Bodywork technicians! This a great time to join our business and fantastic team.
Our Vertu Vehicle Solutions (VVS) departments plays a critical part in supporting our wider Vertu Motors/Bristol Street Motors group in Used Car Retailing. Our Aftersales Functions of VVS are dedicated to the Preparation and Refurbishment of the centrally purchased Used Car Stock via our Group Used Car Purchasing Department and this is an area of our business that is continuing to grow!
As our Technician, you will be working 40 hours per week between Monday – Friday and we are offering a competitive basic salary of £30,000 with an OTE of £34,000 per annum plus company benefits!
About the Role
Our technicians are a fundamental part of our team and will be responsible for accurately completin Service, Maintenance and Repairs as well as any other appropriate activities.
You will analyse work orders carefully to understand a vehicle’s condition, the accuracy of the diagnosis, and what work has been authorised.
About You
All you require to become a part of the team are:
A Valid UK Driving Licence
Be suitably qualified by having completed an appropriate apprenticeship or having an NVQ Level 2 Certificate or above in light vehicle repair and maintenance
A proven ability to carry out basic electrical and mechanical repairs
Own your own tools
An MOT Tester Licence is beneficial although not essential as training and future qualification can be provided
