If that’s you then please read on… We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Electrician to join a thriving facilities provider where you would be working permanently on a site in Darlington Town Centre. What would I be doing exactly? You would be providing an on-site presence for operations which includes planned maintenance and first-line support when it comes to reactive repairs tasks around the site. This is a varied role which will cover electrical repairs and require a qualified electrician, but also includes building fabric repairs and maintenance. If you are an electrician looking for a job doing purely electrical work, then this may not be the position for you. If, however you are multi-skilled and enjoy a wider range of day-to-day duties and different trades, then this could be a brilliant opportunity. Your day-to-day would include the following:- Electrical & fabric PPM- Reactive electrical & fabric repairs – “Handyperson” duties- Porter duties- Maintaining log books- Subcontractor co-ordination and supervision- Waste disposal and management- Attend scheduled training- Participate in the On-Call Rota and provide an emergency call out service when required- Attending meetings- Customer service- Completing site inspections to log any defects or hazards- Risk Assessments- Ensure compliance is being followed What are the benefits? – A salary of £35,000 + call out fee’s and shift allowances which can increase your earnings significantly. – Paid annual leave – The satisfaction of working locally and in one location.- Training and development opportunities to up-skill and widen your range of abilities- Promotion opportunities and career progression- Job security – Discount schemes What do I need to apply? Essential – Qualified electrician status- City & Guilds in Electrical disciplines or equivalent- IOSH or equivalent- GCSE passes in Maths and English- Experience of reactive repairs and maintenance- Some experience of BMS systems- IT literacy IdealDesirable:- Some mechanical experience and knowledge- Experience in life-science or pharmaceutical industry- Knowledge of legionnaires and experience of water testing
