Nigel Wright are delighted to be working with one of the top food manufacturers in North Yorkshire who are looking to add additional skills into their New Product Development team. The business is regarded for producing high quality products both branded and own label across the UK and Europe. The site is seeing a huge amount of investment, making it an exciting time to join the business.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage several accounts, and internal projects, coordinating the development of quality products which meet both the company and customer requirements. You will manage development projects from ideation through to industrialisation, displaying a proactive and innovative approach in the development of products while working within the company and customer policy constraints.
Taking responsibility for several dedicated retail & branded accounts, you will carry out idea generation prior to starting projects by translating briefs through kitchen and pilot plant work into viable products that meet both the company briefs and customer requirements. You will be the key development contact point to the customer accounts that you are managing while maintaining close contact with the NPD manager, sales team and the process team, to ensure clear communication throughout the process.
Requirements
The successful candidate will hold a degree or equivalent in food science. Whilst practical experience in NPD is preferred we would also like to hear from candidates who have recently completed a food science degree and are looking for that first step into a career in New Product Development.
