Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists, Clark Wood, are working with a distinguished, leading regional firm of chartered accountants who are now looking to add an Outsourcing Semi Senior / Management Accounts Assistant to their growing team in Darlington
The workload will be varied with the successful person’s role involving the completion of client bookkeeping (both in the office and on-site at client premises), assisting with the preparation of management accounts, and preparing and submitting VAT returns.
As an Outsourcing Semi Senior / Management Accounts Assistant you will have experience of working within practice as experience of dealing with multiple clients is essential. You will have experience of undertaking bookkeeping work for clients and of preparing VAT returns.
The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified or, may have already commenced their ACCA / ACA studies, and will have experience of using bookkeeping software such as Xero or Quickbooks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Undertaking client bookkeeping work
Maintaining cashbooks
Preparation of VAT returns
Preparation of management accounts
Preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Attending client premises as required
Providing accounting advice and support to clients
Skills
AAT Part Qualified / Qualified or ACCA Students (QBE will also be considered)
Experience of working in a practice environment is essential
Experience of using Xero and/or Quickbooks software
