Senior Finance Analyst role, hybrid working in Darlington, 18 month fixed term contract Your new companyThis UK wide Financial Services provider are looking to recruit Senior Finance Analysts to join the Darlington team on an 18 month fixed term contract basis, with very flexible hybrid working policies.Your new roleThe Senior Finance Analyst will be responsible for Accounting Operations and Tax activities. You will take ownership for inputs into the sub-ledger and general ledger close process working within a robust financial controls framework. Key to delivery in this role will be working closely with Finance and Business stakeholders, and identifying areas of improvement across the processes and systems in your direct control. Responsibilities include transactions processing and balance sheet reconciliations. Helping oversee policies and controls – delivering Finance's processes and transactions in compliance with Risk and Financial Control policy. You will be delivering Accounting Operations' reporting analysis and transactions including accruals, prepayments and month end close procedures, as well as query handling to ensure transactions are accurately processed within the timescales set by SLAs and OLAs. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of reconciliations and regulatory reporting requirements as well assisting with external and internal audit requests and ad hoc investigations, supporting our Finance team and Business stakeholders. You will have the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and engage with the continuous improvement culture and process improvement framework. You will take ownership and responsibility for issues and discrepancies identified as part of the transformation journey so that they reach resolution. What you'll need to succeedPrevious experience of supporting and coaching junior members of a team and leading by example will also be advantageous.
