One of my national care providers are growing further! They are looking for a Service Manager to cover a small group of service users with learning disabilities and autism in the Ipswich and Colchester area.

The primary purpose of the Service Manager role is to organise, facilitate and ensure the delivery of services in their region, to people with learning disabilities and autism living in their own homes. This service is delivered through Team Leaders and Support Workers who report to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • To lead & manage person centred support services that enable people to live their chosen life in their own home in the community.
  • Working closely with the Head of Department, you will ensure that service provision meets the needs of the service users supported; adhere to regulatory standards and is designed around the preferences of the individual. You will meet with Commissioners regarding contract monitoring for the delivery of existing services and planning new services.
  • You will contribute to the planning and leading of existing and new service developments whilst managing change at a management level.
  • You will manage each individual service user’s team and be responsible for operational and commercial leadership within the Bespoke community services. Adopting a “hands on” approach, you will split your time across your services in the area and offer direct support to the Head of Department, working closely as a team.
  • Prepare monthly rotas in a timely manner for the Support Workers, and ensure all clients receive service as designated in their care plan.
  • To work in partnership with the Head of Department to recruit, train and retain effective staff teams for each client, ensuring candidates are recruited in line with Bespoke policies and CQC Standards.
  • To induct each team member into Bespoke and the care package that they are assigned to.
  • To conduct individual supervisions, with Team Leaders and Support Workers, on a regular basis and in accordance with the organisation’s standards.
