Protocol Education: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Currently looking to recruit a HLTA who specialises in SEMH to work within a Primaryschool in Darlington. The students that attend the schools all have varying abilities and levels. This particular school is looking for someone who promotes a creative way of learning and ensuing all students have the opportunity to grow and develop. All staff work to inspire, motivate, challenge and support each pupil, no matter what their individual needs may be. This role will be working on a full time basis.
The ideal candidate will:
Extensive experience of working as a teaching assistant or a HLTA
Previous experience covering a whole classroom
Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent
Recent experience of working with children with SEMH
De-escalation techniques and good behaviour management
Good understanding of KS1 and KS2 UK cirrculum
Confident and supportive individual
Current, valid enhanced DBS (or willing to purchase)
2 years professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
